Shasta Vortex Adventures
has been guiding Sacred Site Tours on Mount Shasta since 2003.
Our Tours are designed to refresh the body, inspire the mind, and awaken the spirit within you. Share your expectations and desires with your guide and together you can decide the best places to go. Accessing peace and relaxation are integral parts of our tours, so you can also just relax and let our expert guides lead the way.
We offer low to medium-impact guided hiking and winter snowshoe tours, as well as a vehicle tour. We enjoy moving slowly over the terrain which allows for a greater awareness of the natural beauty that can be seen with each step taken. We can also be Step-On Bus Guides when you bring a bus to town.
A “Group Tour” is when you bring your own group to town, and book us as your guide. We don’t put people together who don’t know each other, so we can retain the level of intimacy we prefer. Schools, church groups, wedding parties, corporations, family and friends can all enjoy group bonding as we take you to our beautiful alpine meadows, forests, springs, etc. If you’re a retreat or workshop leader you can enjoy a few hours off from coordinating the group’s activities by hiring one of our guides, so you relax and enjoy being guided.
Our tours are all below the 9,000 foot elevation. If you want the ultimate challenge of reaching the summit of Mount Shasta, call a local climbing guide company.
Each of our tour guides offer a unique experience based on their own life studies and inborn passion for exploring the great outdoors. They fully understand that a healthy relationship with nature is paramount to having a joyful and harmonious life here on Earth.
Tours we offer are:
Sacred Site Tours, on snowshoes, too
• Guided Vision Quests • Vehicle Tours • Step-On Bus Guiding
Exploratory Hikes • Retreat and Workshop Guiding
Attention Retreat Leaders: Shasta Vortex Adventures has a Special Use Permit from the U.S. Forest Service. We also carry liability insurance which makes it legal for us to lead commercial events on Mount Shasta. Our guides are certified in CPR and First Aid and are able to add variety, depth and local expertise to your Mount Shasta gathering, while facilitating a unique, fun, safe and legal commercial event on the mountain. Consider booking our guides to lead your next retreat, workshop or family gathering.

Testimonials:
“I’ve learned by being hard-headed most of my life that if you don’t know where you’re going, hire someone who does! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Ashalyn.“
~ M.R., Marketing Agent, San Francisco, CA
“We want to thank you [Ashalyn] from our hearts for the love and kindness showed to us. Is good to know that we are family since there is Divinity in all. The beauty at Mt. Shasta is a reflection of the great people who chose to live there. You gave us more than we ever expected because you brought us yourself. We are and will be always honored and grateful. You made us feel special. Blessings.”
~ Waldo & Maria Mora, Damaris & Blanca – The Philippines
